Wheelchair Dancesport Australia
Founded by the current president Lynette Gordon-Smith.
Wheelchair Dancing as a recreational activity has continued to grow in
popularity. Currently regular classes are conducted in
Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland by instructors all trained by Lynette.
Lynette Gordon-Smith is the face of Wheelchair Dance Sport in Australia.
Her experience, skills and knowledge are unsurpassed within the Oceania Region.
It has long been the ambition of Lynette to develop and foster the sport within
Australia.
Lynette was employed as a Wheelchair Dance Co-ordinator by Caboolture Shire Council north
of Brisbane in Queensland. She is currently introducing and implementing strategies
to increase the number of instructors within the country, especially the South-East
Queensland Region.And now is preparing to travel and intrduce wheelchair dancing throughout Australia with her husband Chris
Plans for expansion into N.S.W. are currently being finalised
